GRAHAM LOCAL SCHOOLS
GREAT LOCATION !!!
GREAT PEOPLE !!!
GREAT STUDENTS !!!
GREAT ATHLETES !!!
Many times I am asked where GRAHAM is located, how old are the schools and how many students attend. Graham is a Division II school. It is located approximately fifty miles West of Columbus Ohio. The GRAHAM District includes the Western half of Champaign County. It is a large, rural district encompassing 185 square miles. It was formed by the consolidation of six schools: Concord, Christiansburg-Jackson, Rosewood, St. Paris, Terre Haute and Westville. The first graduating class was in 1957. We are very proud of our facilities with two recent additions and a planned thirteen million dollar renovation of the high school. All facilities are located on U.S. Route 36, just East of St. Paris. Below are pictures of our facilities and there current enrolment.

Graham is very proud of its band known as "The Dancin' Band from Falcon Land".
The Dancin' Band Tradition at Graham is credited
to past band Director Robert DuBois, receiving inspiration from the Ohio
University "Marching 110". Since that time the Graham Marching Falcons have
entertained thousands with high step style of marching, powerful music
arrangements and choreographed dance routines.
The Dancin' Band from Falconland performs over 20 times during the school year at
halftime shows, parades, festivals and other special events. The Graham
Marching Falcons have performed all over the nation including notable events
like The Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade (1995), Washington D.C. (1999),
the Underground, Atlanta, GA (2003), Disney World (1990 & 2003), Universal
Studios (2003), Ameriflora Exhibit (1993), Indianapolis 500 Parade (2002,
2003, 2008), Cedar Point Amusement Park (1993, 1995, 2000, 2005), Dayton Air show 2007
and many more!
The Dancin' Band from Falconland remains one of the most sought after Marching
Bands. Each year the Marching Falcons receive hundreds of invitations to appear
in events thorought out the area!
The band is currently under the direction of Mr.
Jeffery S. Buell. Mr. Buell graduated from Mansfield's Malahbar High School
where he was a member of the band. He received his Bachelors Degree in Music
Education from Ohio University in 1976. As a undergraduate he was a member of
Ohio University's Marching 110. He served as Section & Squad Leader. In 1976, he
was honored to be the first soloist in the band, and was featured at the 110's
performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City. During the years 1981 to 1984 ,
Mr. Buell was Brass Instructor for The Canton Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corp. In
1984, he returned to Ohio University as a Graduate Assistant to the Director of
the Marching 110. He earned his Masters Degree that same year. Mr. Buell has
also served as Band Director at Meigs Junior High School in Pomeroy, Ohio, Hiland High School in Berlin, Ohio, Little Miami in Morrow, Ohio and has been

We are also very proud of our basketball team which reached the final four in the state last year. They were 26 - 0 in the regular season. Four of the five starters are back this year and we are looking forward to another great season this year. Below is a photo of the team.

The GRAHAM DIGITAL ACADEMY is one of the newer programs at Graham. It gives self motivated students the opportunity to move quickly into the digital world and opens a wide range of new learning venues to students. There are currently over two hundred students enrolled in the academy. Learn more by linking to the GRAHAM DIGITAL ACADEMY on the home page.
Here is a picture of three time state champ David Taylor signing up for Chinese at Graham Digital Academy. Not sure if there is any relationship to the guy in the upper right hand corner.
The Graham Community Foundation
In 2000, several graduates representing Graham's six founding schools, founded a Foundation designed to raise funds for scholarships and grants for Graham students. To date, the Foundation has raised $75,000 for this purpose. The funds are administrated by the Troy Foundation in Troy Ohio. Only the interest earned is used for the awards. Since starting the Foundation, fourteen scholarships and grants have been awarded. Below is a composite of the recipients thru the 2008 graduating class.
